The Kazakh delegation participated in the 21st China International Agricultural Products Exhibition, which is taking place from November 29 to December 1 in Guangzhou, according to Kazpravda.kz

Over 30 leading Kazakh enterprises engaged in agricultural production showcased the potential and capabilities of Kazakhstan's agricultural sector to international partners and investors.

The pavilion features high-quality products made in KZ: safflower, sunflower, and rapeseed oils, granulated feed, meat products, poultry products, flour, beverages, the domestic brand "aport," dry mare's and camel's milk, honey, ice cream, and more.

Products of deep grain processing, such as gluten, starch, and bioethanol, particularly attracted visitors' interest. These goods are in demand and are exported to India, the USA, Colombia, CIS countries, and the European Union.

Additionally, a forum was organized during the exhibition to promote agricultural development, featuring the participation of China's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Han Jun, government officials from Guangdong Province, experts and scholars, agricultural producers, and representatives from financial and investment institutions to discuss current issues in the agricultural sector.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Ermek Kenzhekhanyuly, noted that China is a strategic partner for Kazakhstan in agriculture and the largest trading partner in the agro-industrial sector. In 2023, the trade turnover of agro-industrial products with China increased by 1.7 times, exceeding 1.3 billion dollars.

“Food security is currently a pressing issue for the entire world, and Kazakhstan plays a crucial role in ensuring it. Over the past five years, agro-industrial product exports have nearly doubled, and we aim to increase it to 10 billion dollars in the next five years. Our country holds strong positions among the top ten global wheat exporters and is significantly enhancing its status in livestock production,” he stated.

With the involvement of Chinese investors, several significant projects have been successfully implemented in Kazakhstan, including the production of rapeseed oil in the North Kazakhstan region and the processing and production of dry camel and mare's milk in Turkestan. Discussions are underway for the implementation of an additional 5 investment projects amounting to approximately 700 million US dollars.
