Their fight was scheduled for November 2 in Astana as part of the Dala Fighting Championship league. However, Ferguson extended his contract with the UFC. Takhtay will face another former fighter from the USA, Will Chop, this coming Saturday. The opponents will contest the vacant lightweight championship title in the league.

- My managers got in touch with him, and he confirmed that his contract with the UFC had ended; a sum of $200,000 was even mentioned, which he was willing to accept to come and fight. The organization was prepared to bring him to Astana, but at the last moment, he said he was extending his contract with the UFC.
