The next opponent (18-0) promised to first defeat Nomad and then face Chimaev for the title:

"I will fight and beat Shavkat, win the world championship title, and then move up to middleweight. After that, I will fight Khamzat and win that belt too. I am not afraid of anyone," Garry said in a video interview with Ariel Helwani.

Chimaev responded to Garry, doing so in Russian:

"You’re too skinny, boy, don’t mess with the Wolf's teeth, or you’ll be left headless," Chimaev wrote to Garry on social media X (formerly Twitter).

Recall that Garry and Rakhmonov will meet in the co-main event at UFC 310, taking place on December 7 in Las Vegas (USA).
