Rematch with Belal? The former champion in the weight class, Rakhmonov, has announced the date for his UFC fight.

The renowned journalist Ariel Helwani announced on his social media page the date and location of the next fight for former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards from the USA, as reported by Vesti.kz.

To recall, Edwards' last fight took place in July 2024, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to the current champion in this weight class, Belal Muhammad.

"Leon Edwards just revealed on DAZN where he will be fighting next. He will headline the UFC event in London, scheduled for March 22 at the famous O2 arena. However, he has not disclosed the name of his opponent yet," Helwani wrote.

It is worth noting that Rakhmonov will face Irishman Ian Garry on December 8. This matchup came about due to the cancellation of Rakhmonov's fight with Muhammad, who was unable to compete due to health issues.

Rakhmonov himself has not fought in a year. His last bout was in December, where he secured a stoppage victory over American Stephen Thompson.
