Rahmonov has found a replacement following the cancellation of his fight at UFC 310.

Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen expressed his thoughts on the cancellation of the championship bout between undefeated Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov (18-0) and the reigning welterweight champion Belal Muhammad (24-3-0-1), as reported by Vesti.kz.
После отмены боя на UFC 310 Рахмонову назначили нового соперника.

A former fighter shared his thoughts on the cancellation of the championship match between the undefeated Kazakh fighter (18-0) and the current titleholder in the welterweight division (24-3-0-1), as reported by UFC Chael Sonnen Shavkat Rakhmonov Belal Muhammad Vesti.kz.

The fight was scheduled to take place in December in Las Vegas (USA) at UFC 310. However, the day before, Muhammad withdrew from the bout due to illness. Rakhmonov, meanwhile, expressed his readiness to fight for the interim title against any other contender in December.

"There’s no need to hate on Belal for pulling out of the fight. All these infections are very unpleasant; they can lead to people losing limbs or even their lives. Sometimes criticism is justified, but not in this case."

"The UFC management will try to keep the UFC 310 card in good shape. They will attempt to keep Rakhmonov on the roster. I think that’s impossible. A non-title fight cannot be the main event of a numbered card. They could hold a fight for the interim belt, but I doubt anyone would be inspired by Rakhmonov competing against someone who is still relatively unknown. I believe we can say goodbye to this fight. Plus, I don’t think Ian Garry would be pleased with such an option."

"The simplest solution would be to replace the main event of UFC 310 with the match between Pereira and Ankalaev. Rakhmonov cannot headline the final numbered event of the year, especially in the global capital of fights. If Rakhmonov's fight were to be made a co-main event... they could invite Colby Covington or bring back Jorge Masvidal," Sonnen said in a video on his channel.

Previously, two other top-10 fighters issued a challenge to Shavkat: Irishman Ian Machado Garry (15-0) and American Joaquin Buckley (20-6).

Additionally, former UFC welterweight champion, Nigerian fighter Kamaru Usman (20-4), expressed interest in a bout against the undefeated Kazakh fighter.
