The Kazakh fighter reached out to UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad after their title fight was called off, as reported by Vesti.kz.
Shavkat RakhmonovTheir bout was scheduled to take place on December 8 in Las Vegas, but Belal contracted an infection, leading to the cancellation of the fight.
"I wish Belal a speedy recovery. We'll meet when you are 100 percent recovered. In the meantime, I'm ready to fight any contender for the interim title at UFC 310," Rakhmonov wrote on the social media platform X.
For Belal, this would have been his first title defense, which he won in July by unanimous decision against British fighter Leon Edwards (22-4).
For Shavkat, who is ranked third in the UFC welterweight division, this would have been his first fight in 2024.
