Their battle for the welterweight championship belt was scheduled to take place on December 8 in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), but the Kazakhstani's team announced its cancellation.

It was reported

"Our source from Shavkat Rakhmonov's team, DAR Team, confirmed the information that Belal Muhammad has pulled out of the fight at UFC 310. The reason is an infection.

"Should Shavkat wait for Belal or fight someone else in December?" - the publication on the Instagram account Sport_kor states.

For Belal, this would have been his first title defense, which he won in July by unanimous decision against British fighter Leon Edwards (22-4).
