Khabib "retired" three top UFC fighters.

The undefeated former lightweight champion (29-0) has addressed top mixed martial arts fighters Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, and Tony Ferguson, as reported. He urged them to consider retiring from their careers.

"I believe that Poirier should stop fighting. I think it's over for him. Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson – they are the old guard. Stop fighting," Nurmagomedov is quoted as saying.

Nurmagomedov himself retired in 2021, achieving 29 victories in 29 MMA fights. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

To remind, Gaethje has 25 wins in MMA and five losses, all of which occurred in the UFC. Poirier has 30 wins and nine losses, with eight of those losses in the UFC. Ferguson has 25 wins and 11 losses, with the 40-year-old American having lost his last eight fights in the promotion consecutively.
