Бывший чемпион UFC неожиданно предсказал результат поединка между Рахмоновым и Гэрри.

Former UFC champion Michael Bisping shared his predictions for the matchup between Irish fighter Ian Garry and Kazakhstan's Shavkat Rakhmonov in the welterweight division, as reported by Vesti.kz.

The fight between Rakhmonov and Garry will co-headline UFC 310 in Las Vegas, USA, on December 8.

"You have to have a lot of respect for Ian Garry: he didn't have to take this fight. But will he be able to withstand the takedowns?

Garry will likely be dancing around the octagon and using the same game plan he had against Jeff Neal. He needs to keep Shavkat Rakhmonov at bay. If he can't stop the takedowns, he's going to get finished, and that’s not a disrespect to Garry.

He should move around the cage, utilize his reach, maintain distance, and stay mobile. Be quick, elusive, act decisively, move fluidly, and keep calm without engaging in a brawl. If he does that, Shavkat will grab him. If he grabs him, he’ll take him down, and if he takes him down, it’s all over.

Can Garry stop the takedowns? Because if he can’t, someone is going to lose their '0', and it’s probably going to be Ian Garry. But he has a path to victory — using distance and moving actively. The crowd might boo, but who cares about the crowd? Winning is all that matters," Bisping said on his YouTube channel.

For Rakhmonov, this will be his first fight of the year. He was originally supposed to share the octagon with the reigning UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad (24-3), but the American fighter of Palestinian descent withdrew from the bout due to health issues.
