The Kazakh fighter (18-0) continues his training despite the cancellation of his bout with the UFC welterweight champion (24-3) from the USA, as reported by Vesti.kz.
Shavkat Rakhmonov Belal MuhammadTheir fight was scheduled for December in Las Vegas (USA) at UFC 310. However, the day before, Muhammad withdrew from the match due to illness. Rakhmonov himself expressed his readiness to fight in December against any other contender.
To affirm his intentions, Shavkat sparred with Dagestani native Nassurdin Imavov (15-4), who resides in France and is ranked fifth in the UFC middleweight division.
Previously, two other fighters from the top 10 of the division, Irishman Ian Machado Garry (15-0) and American Joaquin Buckley (20-6), issued challenges to Shavkat.
