Vice President of the ASA League, Aslanbek Badaev, shared insights about the fight between Kazakhstan's fighter and Russian Yusuf Raisov in an interview with "RB Sport," as reported by Artem Reznikov Vesti.kz.
The match was originally scheduled for December 15 at ASA 182, but the Kazakh fighter had to withdraw due to illness.
- Will the fight between Raisov and Reznikov take place in February in Krasnodar?- Yes, on February 8 in Krasnodar. We also plan to hold a fight between Abdurakhmanov and Gadzhidaudov - they are eager to compete. I haven't spoken with Artem, but previously he mentioned that he was ready for the eighth. Yusuf stated: "I need to undergo a medical check. I wouldn't want to give Artem any advantage. I'm disappointed by this situation; he just backed out. However, the league has supported me numerous times. If you insist, I can't let you down. I just need to check my health, but I'm 90 percent sure I'll be ready for February 8." These are Yusuf's words," Badaev said.
Let us remind you that this will be a rematch. Their first encounter took place in 2020 and ended in a sensational victory for Reznikov by a split decision after three rounds.
