Kazakh UFC fighter (18-0) once again appeared on the show of Canadian-American sports journalist Ariel Helwani, as reported by Vesti.kz.
Shavkat RakhmonovDuring the interview with Rakhmonov, the show's producer Conor Burks wore a traditional Kazakh headgear called a tymak and also shared that he visited a Kazakh restaurant in the USA and tried beshbarmak.
Rakhmonov will return to the octagon on December 8 to face Irishman Ian Garry (15-0). The bout will be scheduled for five rounds and will serve as the co-main event of UFC 310.
The Kazakh fighter has not competed since December 2023, when he finished American Steven Thompson (17-8-1) in the second round. For the Irishman, this will be his third fight in 2024; in February, he defeated American Jeff Neal, and in June, he won against British fighter Michael Page, both by judges' decision.
Rakhmonov is currently ranked third in the UFC welterweight division, while Garry sits in seventh.
Previously, Shavkat learned about the purse for the upcoming bout. He also mentioned that a fighter who refused to face him became known.
