Kazakhstan will conduct an unplanned inspection of airports following the tragedy near Aktau.

Olzhas Bektenov has instructed to conduct an unscheduled audit and closely monitor the technical condition of the country's airports and aircraft, according to a report from the government press service, as shared by NUR.KZ.

According to the Telegram channel of the government, Olzhas Bektenov listened to the report on the work of the government commission at the site of the plane crash near the city of Aktau.

"First of all, I express my condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. The government of Kazakhstan and the authorized bodies are providing all necessary support to the victims and the relatives of the deceased," - noted Olzhas Bektenov.

Additionally, he issued a series of instructions to enhance aviation safety.

"This tragic event indicates that we also need to take certain measures to ensure flight safety. First and foremost, an unscheduled audit must be conducted, and the technical condition of airports and aircraft must be placed under special control. As part of these activities, the qualifications, permits, and competencies of the crews of our airlines must be rechecked."

"To ensure prompt response to aviation incidents, it is necessary to improve the mechanism for emergency rescue operations and ensure coordinated work among the relevant government agencies. We must draw the right conclusions from this situation and develop specific recommendations to prevent similar occurrences in the future," - emphasized the Prime Minister.

It is worth noting that on December 25, a plane flying from Baku to Grozny crashed near Aktau. There were 69 people on board, including 5 crew members. Among them, 42 were citizens of Azerbaijan, 15 were citizens of Russia, 6 were citizens of Kazakhstan, and 3 were citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

Currently, it is known that 38 people who were on board the plane have died. All six Kazakh citizens on board are listed as deceased. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has released the names of the deceased Kazakh citizens, including a child.

It has been reported that the police have begun an investigation into the tragedy - a case has been opened under the article "Violation of safety rules during the operation of a vehicle, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence."

In addition, the government announced the establishment of a government commission to investigate the causes of the plane crash. We also wrote that a local state of emergency has been declared in the area near Aktau where the crash occurred.

Today, mourning has been declared in Azerbaijan. It was also reported that Embraer issued a statement regarding the crash of its aircraft near Aktau.

Today, the Ministry of Transport announced that a delegation from the State Agency of Civil Aviation of Azerbaijan and representatives of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) have arrived in Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, today doctors provided the latest information on the condition of the injured. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that out of the 38 deceased, 7 people have been identified.
