According to the press service of the agency, by agreement with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the deputies of the Ili District Maslikhat, Kairzhan Jaksymbetov has been appointed as the akim of the Ili District by the decree of the akim of Almaty Region.
He was born in 1975 in the Moyynkum District of the Zhambyl Region. In 1997, he graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Architecture and Construction with a degree in "Industrial and Civil Engineering." In 2004, he obtained a diploma from the Kazakh National Agrarian University with a degree in "Law."
He began his career in the Zhambyl Region, working as a foreman at a construction site for JSC "Zhambylagropromstroy."

It should be noted that in September of this year, information emerged online regarding the detention of the akim of the Ili District of Almaty Region, Bagdat Karasaev, on suspicion of abuse of official powers and exceeding authority.
Later, the Anti-Corruption Agency reported that during the pre-trial investigation, the district akim in Almaty Region and other individuals were implicated. By court sanction, the suspect has been taken into custody.
The regional prosecutor's office stated that the akim's detention was prompted by a joint inspection of the activities of the landfill in the Ili District. He faces charges of illegal participation in entrepreneurial activities, exceeding official powers, and abusing them, which has harmed state interests.
Bagdat Karasaev served as the akim of the Ili District since September 2018.
