Vice Minister Tuleushin addressed whether he remains a founder of the "Gastro Center" and his connection with Bishimbaev.

The Deputy Head of the MCRIAP spoke in the corridors of the Mazhilis today about whether he still owns the "Gastrocenter," where the murder of Saltanat Nukenova occurred a year ago, as reported by a correspondent from NUR.KZ.
Вице-министр Тулеушин прокомментировал, остается ли он учредителем "Гастроцентра" и какие у него связи с Бишимбаевым.

Kanysh Tuleushin reminded that he came to public service from the business sector.

"I invested in various projects, including this one. In this project, I am no longer a founder. I have no (relationship with Kuandyk Bishimbaev - ed. note), as we, like all graduates of the Bolashak program, always share our projects and meet regularly. Therefore, like all graduates of the program, we constantly communicate.

This is probably the only thing that can connect us. So, I will reiterate, I am not a founder in this project. And, in principle, that's all I have," he replied.

The Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry noted that the decision to exit was made long before the tragedy.

"We started the work because I planned to transition to public service, so we, as a family, were selling many of our assets, and thus discussions about the exit started even earlier," Tuleushin explained.

It should be noted that Kanysh Tuleushin was appointed as the first deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development in June of last year.

Recall that on November 9, 2023, at the BAU restaurant in Astana, Saltanat Nukenova, the civil partner of former Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbaev, died as a result of bodily harm.

More than a week later, the lease agreement with the owners of the restaurant where the tragedy occurred was terminated at the "Gastrocenter." The BAU sign was dismantled. Prior to this, on November 12, the director of the "Gastrocenter," Bakhtizhan Baizhanov, was taken into custody.

The trial against him and the former minister began on March 27. The proceedings were held in an open format, and anyone interested could watch the online broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan. Both were tried by a jury composed of 12 members.

In mid-May, Kuandyk Bishimbaev was sentenced to 24 years in prison in a maximum-security penal institution.

Recently, one of the YouTube channels published information about Bishimbaev's absence in the colony. It later became clear that the former minister is serving his sentence in facility No. 5 of the Department of Criminal Executive System in Akmolinsk region, located in Stepnogorsk.
