Tokayev congratulated Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on his birthday.

According to the official Telegram channel of Akorda, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the President of Azerbaijan on his birthday, wishing him further success in his state activities for the benefit of the fraternal Azerbaijani people.

The head of state highly appreciated Ilham Aliyev's significant contribution to the development of Kazakh-Azerbaijani relations.

The presidents noted with satisfaction the high dynamics of bilateral interaction and discussed the prospects for further deepening the strategic partnership in trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Special attention was given to the implementation of agreements reached during mutual high-level visits.

It is worth mentioning that earlier in November, the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku on a working visit to participate in the World Climate Summit COP 29.

On the sidelines of the summit, the presidents of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan signed a strategic agreement on the integration of the energy systems of the three countries.

Prior to this, in August, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, visited Astana, where he participated in the VI Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

The President of Azerbaijan was also in Astana in early July, where he took part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
