Tokayev and Vucic discussed the current status of relations between Kazakhstan and Serbia.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that his first visit to Serbia as the head of state holds special significance. He emphasized that this visit marks a new important chapter in Kazakh-Serbian relations.

The President of Kazakhstan highlighted that the trusting cooperation between the two countries is based on ongoing political dialogue and mutual support. According to him, in recent years, Astana and Belgrade have made significant strides in strengthening economic interaction, actively developing trade and investment ties.

Taking the opportunity, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his thanks to Aleksandar Vučić and the people of Serbia for their solidarity shown during the spring floods in Kazakhstan. The head of state described this gesture as a vivid demonstration of sincere friendship between our peoples.

Aleksandar Vučić, in turn, expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop based on mutual respect and trust. He noted that Belgrade is interested in further deepening economic ties with Kazakhstan, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and joint projects in key sectors of the economy.

The President of Serbia confirmed his country's commitment to strengthening political dialogue with Kazakhstan and highlighted the importance of further coordinating actions on the international stage.

During the meeting, the heads of state discussed the current state of relations between Kazakhstan and Serbia, as well as potential directions for further strengthening cooperation. Additionally, the parties exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues.

It is worth noting that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived in Serbia for an official visit yesterday. He was welcomed at Belgrade Airport by Vučić.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, announced on social media that he received the famous Almaty apple from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Later, the Telegram channel "Board No. 1" confirmed that President Tokayev presented the Almaty apple as a gift to Vučić.

Today, an official ceremony to welcome the head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, took place in front of the Palace of Serbia.

In honor of the arrival of the President of Kazakhstan, an honor guard was formed. After the report from the head of the honor guard, the national anthems of both countries were played, and 10 artillery salutes were fired. The presidents then introduced each other to the members of their official delegations.

It should be recalled that the Serbian president invited Tokayev to Belgrade back in February of this year during a phone call initiated by Belgrade. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening business ties and implementing joint investment projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, transport, and logistics.

In May, the press service of Akorda announced that the head of state would visit Serbia in the second half of the year.
