"Made in Kazakhstan and imported goods": Arman Shakkaliev discusses his wardrobe.

The Minister of Trade, Arman Shakkaliev, addressed a question during a government briefing regarding whether he purchases clothing from Kazakhstani manufacturers, as reported by NUR.KZ correspondent.
"Мой гардероб включает как казахстанские, так и импортные вещи," - делится Арман Шаккалиев.

"I won't comment on the first layer of clothing. However, as for the jacket and suit I am wearing, they were tailored in Kazakhstan. One could say this is Made in KZ. Of course, not all fabrics are produced here. But we are working towards that, and it is my responsibility and that of the entire government to enhance the level of localization and domestic production," noted Arman Shakkaliev.

Overall, according to him, he wears clothing from various manufacturers.

"I also wear imported items, I won't hide that. Because in trade, turnover is important, and it consists of both domestically produced and imported goods," the minister explained.

Recall that earlier in June, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was asked whether rescuers really have to purchase their uniforms with their own money while he himself wears expensive watches on his wrist, equivalent to their "annual salary." Arinov noted that he did not know the cost of the watches as they were a gift to him.

At the end of October, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Construction, Kanat Sharalpaev, was asked what car he drives and why he does not choose locally assembled vehicles. Sharalpaev responded that he drives a car provided to him by a government agency and agreed that he should consider switching to a domestically assembled vehicle.
