"In the WhatsApp messenger, unknown individuals are sending messages to people supposedly from my name.
I want to emphasize that these messages are fake. The mentioned number does not belong to me. I urge everyone not to trust the messages being sent and under no circumstances to click on suspicious links," - reported Baymenov on Instagram.
Murat Baymenov was appointed the new akim of Uralsk at the beginning of October. Previously, he held the position of deputy akim of the Bayterek district in the West Kazakhstan region.
Recall that in the spring, a fake WhatsApp account began sending messages to Kazakhs on behalf of the akim of the Karaganda region, Ermaganbet Bulekbaev. The akim of Shymkent, Gabit Syzdykbekov, also warned citizens about scams using his name.
Alongside this, fraudsters utilized the identities of the akim of Konayev, Askat Berdikhanov, and the head of ZKO, Nariman Turegaliyev, in a similar scheme.
