A new deputy akim has been appointed for the Abai region.

According to the official website of the agency, Adilbay Kanat Serikkanuly was born on December 14, 1972, in the city of Ayagoz. In 1996, he graduated from Semipalatinsk State University with a degree in "Economics and Management in the Agricultural Sector," becoming an "Engineer-Economist." He holds a PhD in Economics.

He began his professional career in 1996 as a first-category specialist in the legal entities taxation department at the tax inspection in the city of Semey.

From 1998 to 2000, he served as a tax inspector in the tax audit department at the same tax inspection.

Between 2000 and 2002, he worked as a leading tax inspector, chief tax inspector, and head of the legal entities audit sector at the Tax Committee in Semey.

From 2002 to 2006, he was the head of the audit department for small and medium-sized enterprises and the legal entities audit department at the Tax Committee in Semey.

In 2006-2007, he held the position of deputy chairman of the Tax Committee in Semey.

From 2007 to 2008, he was the chairman of the SK for the city of Semey of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2008 to 2016, he led the tax department for the city of Semey under the Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2017, he served as a leading specialist in the desk control department of the state revenues management for the Almaty district of the State Revenues Department in the city of Astana, part of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and as an expert in the Tax Audit Department of the Tax Control Department of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2017 to 2018, he acted as the deputy head of the human resources management of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance.

Between 2018 and 2019, he served as the deputy head of the State Revenues Department in the city of Astana under the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2019 to 2021, he was the deputy akim of Semey, responsible for budget formation and execution, credit and customs policies, banking institutions, land relations, agriculture, veterinary services, industry, entrepreneurship, communications, tourism, trade, labor inspection, and environmental protection.

From January to February 2023, he was the director of LLP "AKM Stroyservice."

From March to September 2023, he served as the chairman of the permanent commission of the Abay regional maslikhat in the area of economics and finance, business development.

Prior to his current appointment, he held the position of akim of the Ayagoz district.

It is worth noting that earlier this week, Kuanysh Suleimenov was appointed as the deputy akim of the Abay region. Before that, he served as the chairman of the regional maslikhat.

In November 2024, Colonel Ruslan Omarov was appointed as the head of the Defense Affairs Department of the Abay region by order of the Minister of Defense.
