В Казахстане официально стартовала новая информационная система для автодорог.

In accordance with order No. 354 dated October 30, 2024, the pilot implementation of the IS "Unified Database of Road Construction Materials and New Technologies" will be organized for medium and capital repair projects, reconstruction, and construction of highways across the Republic of Kazakhstan from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025.

The coordinator for the pilot implementation has been designated as JSC "Kazakhstan Road Research Institute."

The draft departmental order has undergone coordination stages and public discussion on the "Open NPA" portal in July of this year.

The project aims to enhance the requirements for materials and new technologies used on highways, as well as to ensure efficiency in the selection of suppliers and manufacturers of road construction materials and new technologies.

The pilot involves "KazdorNII," "KazAvtoZhol," the National Center for Quality of Road Assets, and the akimats of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital.

Additionally, on a voluntary basis, suppliers and manufacturers of road construction materials, products, structures, and new technologies may participate in the pilot implementation.

Within the framework of the project, "KazAvtoZhol" and the NCCDA will utilize materials, products, and structures included in the "Unified Database of RCMNT" during the specified period, according to their status and area of application.

The IS "Unified Database of RCMNT" is an independent development by scientists and IT specialists of the research institute. Work on creating the digital product began at the request of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the end of 2022.

"The project was proposed as an effective mechanism aimed at improving road quality. Construction materials and technologies are included in the Unified Database after a multi-stage process of verifying their properties and qualities, as well as examination by a collegial body the technical council, which includes experts in road construction, scientists, designers, and representatives of public organizations," says the head of the new technologies department of "KazdorNII," Zauresh Omirbekova.
