According to information on the "Electronic Government" website, marriage is defined by the Code "On Marriage (Spouse) and Family" as an equal union between a man and a woman, established with the free and full consent of both parties in accordance with the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at creating a family and generating property and personal non-property rights and obligations between spouses.
