According to the official Telegram account of Akorda, during the meeting of the Foreign Investors Council, the president met with Jerzy Starak, a representative of a Polish pharmaceutical company.
During the meeting, Jerzy Starak presented Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with a biographical collection about the famous Kazakh writer and front-line soldier Kemel Tokayev, who participated in the liberation of Poland from fascist invaders. The publication was released with the support of the Polish-Kazakh Historical Commission.
As a reminder, today the head of state held the 36th plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council. The event also featured speeches from EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baibazarov, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors Council Erlan Dosymbekov, Vice President of CNPC Zhang Dawei, Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank Nikolai Podguzov, President of Alstom for Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia Andrew Deleoni, and CEO of Lukoil Vadim Vorobyov.
Additionally, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Microsoft President for Central Europe and Central Asia, Michelle Simmons. During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Microsoft in developing the IT industry and creating a comprehensive ecosystem for startups were discussed.
