Tokaev sent a telegram to the renowned writer Tolen Abdi.

A writer's interview was recently published in the newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan."

According to information from the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tolen Abdik was born on September 4, 1942, in the village of Enbek in the Zhanhildin district of the Kostanay region. In 1965, he graduated from the philological faculty of the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov.

From 1965 to 1970, he worked as a literary employee at the newspaper "Kazakhstan Pioneer." From 1970 to 1977, he served as the head of the department at the "Zhalyn" publishing house and as the deputy chief editor. In 1977, he was the chief editor of the "Kazakhfilm" studio.

From 1976 to 1986, he was an instructor and head of the literary department sector at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan, as well as the chief editor of the newspaper "Kazakh Literature." In 1994, he worked as an assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 1997, he became the deputy head of the internal policy department in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
