For the fourth consecutive year, "Komsomolskaya Pravda" is holding the National Ecological Award, which has become an integral part of the entire media group. It is a great honor for us that for the past two years, PAO "Transneft" has been closely collaborating with "Komsomolskaya Pravda," becoming the general sponsor of the event.

“On behalf of Transneft, I welcome the organizers and participants of the competition.” These words were spoken on behalf of PAO "Transneft" President Nikolai Tokarev at the awards ceremony.

- All participants in the competition demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, a responsible and creative approach to their work, - the statement reads. - This is a challenging task in the face of modern challenges. The current situation imposes strict requirements on every company and enterprise in terms of cost savings, optimizing production processes, and forces them to seek and implement unconventional solutions in logistics and settlements, restructuring production chains, and seriously reassessing priorities in areas such as sponsorship, charitable, and social activities. The strategic state company "Transneft" makes a significant and diverse contribution to addressing the primary tasks facing our country at this critical historical juncture, and it is vital that ecological projects and programs maintain their place and significance on the agenda of leaders at all levels in the activities of enterprises and organizations. We can confidently say that we have established a strong and effective culture of environmental care, which has become an integral part of the life and work of the state, society, and business.

The company leader congratulated the laureates and participants of the competition on their commendable results and wished them further growth, production, and professional achievements, while extending wishes to the organizers, the media group "Komsomolskaya Pravda" - "our long-standing and reliable information partner" - for the successful continuation and development of the competition's idea, engaging more and more participants from various fields and areas of activity in this wonderful initiative.

- Ecology is in the DNA of our company, - said Giorgi Kaptelin, advisor to the president of PAO "Transneft" - press secretary, in response to the question of why "Transneft" supports the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" eco-award.

And this is indeed the case. For its contributions to environmental preservation and achievements in biodiversity conservation, restoration of rare animal populations, and a high level of corporate social responsibility, "Transneft" has repeatedly been recognized as a winner in various competitions, including "EcoLeader," "Reliable Partner - Ecology," and others.

The company has numerous environmental projects in its arsenal. Here are just a few. "Transneft" conducts annual activities for the artificial reproduction of aquatic biological resources to maintain the ecosystem balance in areas traversed by main oil pipelines. In 2023, tree and shrub vegetation was planted to preserve plant life. More than 700,000 trees were planted, including 556 rare species. Employees clean water bodies and their protective zones from debris to preserve the ecosystems of aquatic objects and improve the sanitary and epidemiological situation of the territories. Since 2014, the company has been financially supporting a program for the restoration of the European bison in the Vladimir region, implemented by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Meschera National Park." High-tech treatment facilities and innovative developments are used in production, ensuring that the water in production facilities and nearby areas remains clean. The well-developed corporate environmental movement of "Transneft" is attracting an increasing number of participants. Oil pipeline workers across the country, along with their families, participate in community clean-up days, tidying up the banks of water bodies, forests, and parks. They also organize the collection of batteries, paper waste, and anything else that can be recycled.
