70,000 tenge for each child: the Minister of Labor responded to the deputy's inquiry.

During a meeting with journalists, the Minister of Labor, Svetlana Jakupova, discussed the possibility of introducing a monthly child allowance of 70,000 tenge in Kazakhstan, as reported by a correspondent from NUR.KZ.
Глава Минтруда ответила депутату о выплате 70 тыс. тенге на каждого ребенка.

"This is the most pressing issue that concerns society. The concerns are raised particularly by mothers. We must consider that it all depends on the budgetary capabilities. I responded to a question from a deputy, stating that we have a set of changes ready, which will also require certain, minor budgetary funds. However, we are moving forward through the transformation of business processes, through the digitalization of business processes, and through the optimization of unnecessary, duplicative governmental functions," she noted.

According to her, after optimizing the budget, it will be possible to revisit this issue.

"Then we can address the question of how to ensure income for children unconditionally. This is a direction we could pursue. It's important to mention that if this decision is made now, it will place a significant burden on taxpayers. If today the budget is approximately 6 trillion, which accounts for 38% of the republican budget, then introducing additional unconditional payments—and we have about 5 million children—imagine paying unconditionally to all until they are 18; it would require at least an additional 3 trillion tenge. This means taxes would need to be raised," the minister concluded.

Recall that in June of this year, Deputy Gauhar Tanasheva proposed at a round table on issues concerning socially vulnerable groups to pay 70,000 tenge for each child in Kazakhstan.

A year prior, she suggested implementing a "Family Capital" program in Kazakhstan similar to those in Russia and Belarus. Specifically, it involved introducing a payment of 5,000 dollars or 2.3 million tenge in Kazakhstan.
