Twenty years ago, the agreement on the Kazakhstan-Russia border was signed. Tokayev congratulated Putin on this significant milestone.

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on the 20th anniversary of the Treaty on the Kazakhstan-Russia State Border, as reported by NUR.KZ citing Akorda.

According to the official Telegram channel of the press service of the head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent congratulations to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on the 20th anniversary of the Treaty on the Kazakhstan-Russia State Border, signed in Moscow on January 18, 2005.

"This historically significant document, based on universally recognized norms of international law, has become a solid foundation for the legal formalization of the longest land border in the world and embodies our unbreakable friendship, good neighborliness, and alliance," states the telegram from the President of Kazakhstan.

The head of state expressed confidence that the multifaceted cooperation between the two neighboring countries will continue to develop and strengthen.

Recall that recently, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in his extensive interview with the newspaper "Ana tili," spoke about Vladimir Putin and Kazakhstan-Russia relations. According to the head of state, the President of Russia is an experienced statesman who understands the specifics of Kazakhstan and the significant role of our country as the largest economy in the Central Asian region. Therefore, Russia is actively working with Kazakhstan to develop trade, economic, and investment cooperation.

"There is no other way, as our countries are connected by the longest continuous land border in the world," noted the President of Kazakhstan.

In November of last year, Vladimir Putin visited Astana on a state visit.
