“These regions are under study. It is a whole negotiation process. The cities have roughly been identified. The next step is to determine the location. When selecting cities, there is a greater emphasis on areas with a higher population of our Kazakh brothers. We need to review the documents. Work in this direction is ongoing,” said Gani Beisembaev at a government meeting in Kazakhstan.
Journalists inquired whether he felt that the Russian side was not particularly interested in the construction of Kazakh schools on its territories.
“I did not feel that way,” he responded.
