British energy and finance expert Sertach Yener has become the first recipient of the new Neo Nomad Visa. He is interested in the Kazakh language and wishes to immerse himself in the culture, nature, and cuisine of Kazakhstan, as reported by Orda.kz.

“Kazakhstan is an amazing country! With the Neo Nomad Visa program, we now have the opportunity to stay in this country for up to a year. This visa will allow me to work remotely for my company while exploring Kazakhstan, immersing myself in its nature, friendly atmosphere, cuisine, music, traditions, and language. Thanks to my daughter, I have been enjoying the melodiousness and richness of the Kazakh language for some time now,” shared Sertach Yener.

Currently, the British specialist is working on clean energy projects in the USA.

The Neo Nomad Visa is designed for foreigners, allowing them to live in Kazakhstan for up to one year. Key requirements for obtaining this visa include a stable monthly income of over three thousand dollars, a criminal record certificate, and medical insurance.

This initiative aims to attract digital nomads and specialists who wish to work remotely while simultaneously exploring the culture and nature of Kazakhstan.

In the Ministry of Tourism, they expect the economic impact to be around 3.6 billion tenge annually if 500 people obtain the visa. Foreigners who take advantage of the Neo Nomad will live and spend money in Kazakhstan without taking jobs in the local labor market.
