Interpol will investigate foreign accounts held by Kazakh oligarchs.

“This will enable a quicker response to economic crimes, assist international investigations, and recover funds belonging to the state and citizens,” noted the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Currently, there are 196 countries in the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), including Kazakhstan. This means that law enforcement agencies from different nations collaborate to identify criminals and those on international wanted lists. This list includes not only murderers and fraudsters but also corrupt officials.
