“You asked why a person with an amputated limb has to endlessly prove every year that they remain a person with a disability? We are making changes, and they are currently under review by the Ministry of Health. We are stating that the date of the amputation surgery will be considered the date of establishing a lifelong disability,” noted the minister.
The only condition is that the person must not have any comorbidities. There are indications for amputation when the underlying condition is acute. For instance, diabetes.
