The residents of the Dingri district have been hit the hardest, with many buildings destroyed. According to the latest reports from Chinese media, the death toll has reached 32, with another 38 individuals injured. The number of casualties may rise as search and rescue operations are ongoing.
The natural disaster was also felt in neighboring Nepal and India. As of the morning of January 6, numerous aftershocks have been recorded in the affected area, the strongest of which had a magnitude of 4.4.
