In 2026, it's planned to generate 100 billion tenge from toll roads.

Last year, revenue from toll roads reached 48 billion tenge. This year, an additional four thousand kilometers of toll sections will be introduced, which is expected to nearly double the profits, according to Orda.kz.

“In the coming year, revenues could reach 100 billion tenge. At the same time, the possibility of allocating part of the funds to cover interest rates on loans taken for construction work is being considered,” said Transport Minister Marat Karabaev at a government meeting.

There are a total of 18 sections of toll roads in Kazakhstan:

  • Astana — Shchuchinsk;
  • Astana — Temirtau;
  • Almaty — Konayev;
  • Almaty — Khorgos;
  • Astana — Pavlodar;
  • Konayev — Taldykorgan;
  • Taraz — Kainar;
  • Shymkent — Kyzylorda;
  • Shymkent — Taraz;
  • Shymkent — Tashkent;
  • Shchuchinsk — Kokshetau;
  • Pavlodar — Kalbatau;
  • Beineu — Akzhigit;
  • Uralsk — Samara;
  • Pavlodar — Omsk;
  • Kokshetau — Petropavlovsk;
  • Uralsk — Saratov;
  • Kyzylorda — Aralsk.
