Employees of the supervisory authority uncovered a case of embezzlement of budget funds by the director of the KGU “Center for Ensuring Road Traffic Safety and Digital Technologies of Aktobe,” reports Kazpravda.kz
“It was established that the director, abusing his official position, accepted acts for work that was not actually performed regarding road marking under the signed state procurement contracts, totaling 272 million tenge. The director's actions have been classified under Article 189, Part 4, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement or misappropriation of entrusted property), and a detention measure has been applied against him,” the statement says.
It was also noted that the criminal case is currently being sent to Court No. 2 in Aktobe for substantive consideration.
