Kazakhstan authorities have reclaimed over two million hectares of land.
As of early 2024, 2.8 million hectares of land in Kazakhstan underwent inspection. Consequently, experts identified violations across 2.2 million hectares and issued 1,342 orders for their rectification, according to Orda.kz.

Additionally, nearly 900 instances of illegal land allocation by local authorities have been uncovered. Some of these decisions have already been revoked. The primary violations involve granting land without a competitive process or misallocating pastures.
As a result, over 2 million hectares of land have been returned to state ownership, exceeding the target for 2024.
