Westminster's Old Kazakhstan Bell: A clock belonging to an unknown oligarch is up for sale for 214 million tenge.

Luxury Ulysse Nardin Classic 789-80 watches are once again up for sale on an electronic trading platform. Two intriguing details about these timepieces are that they are priced over 200 million tenge and were seized from a certain Kazakh oligarch, according to Orda.kz.
Часы неизвестного олигарха из Старого Казахстана выставлены на продажу за 214 млн тенге на аукционе "Вестминстерский бой".

This was also confirmed by the head of the asset recovery company, Kuanyshbek Mukash. As a result, no one purchased such luxury items, and the company decided to restore the slightly tarnished appeal of the valuables. All lots were cleaned, professionally photographed, and listed for sale again.

Specifically, these watches even have a beautiful description:

“The minute tourbillon is integrated into a dial made of aventurine. The Westminster chime is produced by four gongs, each having a different tone (mi-do-re-sol). When the repeater is activated, the tone of the hour chime is sol, and the minute chime is mi. All four gongs have three different sequences for the quarters. The figures on the aventurine dial are hand-carved from 18-carat gold. The movements of the jack are synchronized with the sound of the chime. Limited series of 30 pieces. The case diameter is 42 mm. The case is made of platinum. The dial is made of aventurine with gold figures depicting battling warriors,” the appraisal report states.

The auction will commence on January 22, starting at 214 million tenge.
