"Erceg is out! The goal remains. We move forward!" said the director of the team DAR Pro Team, Baurzhan Utaliyev .
This means that the 31-year-old flyweight fighter, ranked eighth in the division, will face another opponent. The announcement will be made later.
As for the 29-year-old former title challenger from Australia, he will definitely not compete on March 2. Currently, Erceg is in ninth place in the division rankings.
Earlier, foreign media reported that it was Almalbaev who pulled out of the fight. However, the Kazakh himself denied these reports, and the DAR Pro Team issued a statement indicating that Asu will soon travel to the USA. Previously, he completed the first stage of training camp in Thailand.
