“A ban on the export of light distillates, aviation fuels, diesel fuel, gas oils, toluene, xylene, and petroleum bitumen from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan beyond the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union will be introduced from January 1, 2025, for a period of six months,” the document states.

Exceptions are provided for. These include: the export of fuel in vehicle fuel tanks, the export of aviation fuel for scientific and research purposes, as well as the supply of certain types of petroleum products as humanitarian aid at the decision of the government of Kazakhstan.
