Regarding the voluntary resettlement program, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions are prepared to accommodate nearly three thousand individuals each. In the eastern and central regions, the number of resettlers cannot exceed 372.
“By the order of the minister, the regional quota for accepting kandass and resettlers for the year 2025 has been set at 9,653 people, which is 170 more than last year,”
the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan clarified.
The department also reminded about state support: this includes subsidies for relocation, coverage of housing rental and utility costs, and assistance with employment.
In 2024, over 19.7 thousand ethnic Kazakhs returned to their historical homeland. Currently, the status of kandass is held by 1 million 148 thousand individuals.
