A total of 78 rescuers and 28 units of equipment are involved. The firefighting efforts are complicated by the intricate design of the structure. The fire has already been assigned a heightened third level of difficulty.
The KBTU building has been recognized as an architectural monument of national significance.
UPD: The fire has been extinguished. The preliminary area of the blaze was 120 square meters. Currently, investigators are working on-site, and there are no reported injuries.
“At the time of localizing the fire, the flag of Kazakhstan was removed from the roof of the administrative building without any damage,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations also reported.
