The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, met with Alexander Novak, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, as reported by NUR.KZ, citing the Akorda.

During the meeting, issues concerning the further strengthening of bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed.

The President emphasized that today the intergovernmental relations between Kazakhstan and Russia are developing very dynamically in a spirit of friendship, good neighborliness, and partnership.

Alexander Novak conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, highlighting the high level of dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.

Additionally, matters of interaction in the energy sector were addressed.

It is noteworthy that in late January, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, visited Kazakhstan.

On January 30, a meeting took place at the Akorda residence between the head of state and the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, who came to Kazakhstan to participate in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Digital Almaty 2025 forum.

A few weeks prior, Tokayev met with the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergey Shoigu.

Furthermore, it should be noted that in November, during his official visit, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to attend the anniversary celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which will be held in Moscow.
