During a meeting with Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, the president of Sinovation Ventures Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the strategic significance of implementing advanced technologies and noted that sharing experiences with leading global experts aids in achieving ambitious goals in the realm of digital transformation.

The participants exchanged views on the integration of artificial intelligence into various aspects of societal life, including education, healthcare, energy, and more.

Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, who has extensive experience in developing software products and AI in both China and the USA, highly regarded Kazakhstan's potential for implementing IT initiatives and creating a competitive technological ecosystem.

Sinovation Ventures AI Institute, as stated on its official website, was established in September 2016 with the aim of bridging the gap between scientific discoveries in artificial intelligence and the application of technologies, research, and applied developments.

Under Dr. Kai-Fu Lee's leadership, the Sinovation Ventures AI Institute aims to accelerate the integration of AI technologies by leveraging top technological and research capabilities worldwide and providing training in this area. One of the institute's main missions is to prepare the largest base of young AI engineers.

It is worth noting that in May, during a meeting with scientists in Almaty, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the need to expedite the creation of an AI ecosystem. Later, the head of state discussed the establishment of a supercomputer.

In October of last year, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the necessity of adopting a strategic document and legislative acts to regulate artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan.
