A journalist noted that information has surfaced on social media regarding Tokayev's plans to lead the UN in 2026, which may lead to early presidential elections in our country. He requested confirmation or denial of this information.
"I had the opportunity to head the UN Office in Geneva for nearly three years as the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN and the Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament. I gained valuable experience and understanding of the mechanisms of international processes. I believe this is more than sufficient.
I have ambitious plans for the country's development for many years ahead, which I intend to implement," the president replied.
