According to the official Telegram channel of Akorda, the head of state met with the first deputy head of the presidential administration.
During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly praised the results of Darkhan Satybaldy’s work in the Turkestan region.
The head of state emphasized that the position of the first deputy head of the presidential administration is being introduced to enhance management processes and regional cooperation, strengthen oversight of the implementation of decisions and his directives at the local level, as well as improve the quality of measures taken and bolster citizens' trust in state institutions.
Darkhan Satybaldy has been assigned key tasks that he will need to accomplish in his new role.
It is worth noting that on January 6, Darkhan Satybaldy was appointed as the first deputy head of the presidential administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was relieved of his previous position.
Additionally, Darkhan Satybaldy held the position of akim of the Turkestan region since August 2022. He was reappointed to this position in December 2022.
According to official information, he was born in 1974 in the South Kazakhstan region.
He graduated from the Akmolinsk Agricultural Institute named after Seifullin and the Kazakh Humanitarian-Legal University. He holds a PhD in Economics.
He began his career in 1996 at the municipal enterprise "Keles" in the Keles district of the South Kazakhstan region.
From 2000 to 2006, he held various positions in the Ministry of Finance and the Presidential Administration.
From 2007 to 2010, he served as the deputy director of the budget and finance departments at the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the deputy chairman of the Science Committee.
In 2010, he was appointed head of the Department of the National Security Committee.
From 2011 to 2013, he was the deputy head of the socio-economic department of the Office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
In 2013, he took the position of akim of Shymkent.
From 2015 to 2017, he served as the first deputy akim of the South Kazakhstan region and was elected as a senator in Parliament.
From March 2019 until his appointment as akim of the Turkestan region, he held the position of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.
