Tokayev gifted the President of Serbia a chest containing Almaty’s famous apricots (photo).

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced on social media that he received the famous Almaty apricot from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Kazakh leader is currently visiting Belgrade, as reported by NUR.KZ.

"This evening, I had the honor of hosting the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Serbia is a country that proudly opens its doors to friends, and tonight we demonstrated this once again.

Our tradition of hospitality is best expressed around a common table, where we share not only a meal but also the values that unite us. I received as a gift the famous apples from Kazakhstan.

Thank you to President Tokayev for the honor and trust. I am confident that this visit will strengthen the ties between Serbia and Kazakhstan," - stated Vucic on Facebook.

The Telegram channel "Board No. 1" confirmed that President Tokayev presented Vucic with an Almaty apricot as a gift.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived for an official visit to Serbia yesterday. He was welcomed at Belgrade airport by Vucic.

It is worth noting that the Serbian president invited Tokayev to Belgrade back in February of this year during a phone call initiated by Belgrade. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening business ties and implementing joint investment projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, transportation, and logistics.

In May, the press service of Akorda announced that the head of state would visit Serbia in the second half of the year.
