Tokaev explained the role of former akim Darkhan Satybaldi in his administration.

Today, as reported by Akorda on its Telegram channel, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reviewed the activities of the Project Office located in the EXPO campus, which is intended to contribute to the implementation of ongoing reforms and strategic initiatives in the country.

Such structures, established within higher government bodies, operate in several countries. For instance, the United Kingdom has the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit, Malaysia has PEMANDU, and the United Arab Emirates has the Acceleration Office.

It is noted that the project office will focus on developing solutions for effectively executing priority tasks outlined in the messages from the head of state and the National Development Plan of Kazakhstan.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the progress of strategically significant projects such as the implementation of platform solutions to enhance fiscal sustainability, the development of Mangistau Region, and the formation and development of human capital.

Additionally, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry has formed interdepartmental teams in areas such as transport and logistics, healthcare, education and enlightenment, energy, water, industry and construction, digital development, innovations, and regional development. This approach will allow them to focus on a limited number of tasks within a narrow field to ensure more qualitative and rapid results.

After reviewing the presentations, the president emphasized that government members should concentrate on decisive actions to achieve significant outcomes in the socio-economic development of the country.

"We face important tasks. The most critical aspect is to keep a close watch on the progress of the directives given by the head of state. The primary goal of this center is to enhance the efficiency of reforms. The first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, Darkhan Satybaldy, will coordinate this area. Both ministers and akims must be ready to make bold decisions. Earlier, I assigned specific tasks to the government. On issues related to the socio-economic development of the country, it should independently make the necessary decisions. I demand concrete results," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The president urged ministers and leaders to focus on a number of tasks.

"Currently, we are concentrating on large infrastructure projects, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and nuclear energy. These are key strategic directions for the development of our country. The government must necessarily consider these important issues in its work," he emphasized.

The head of state also specifically addressed the prospects for the development of nuclear energy.

"Regarding the construction of nuclear power plants, we need to accelerate. I have already mentioned in an interview that we will build two large stations, possibly three. We must transform Kazakhstan into a country with developed nuclear energy, a country where artificial intelligence operates and digitalization is fully implemented," concluded Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

It is worth noting that on January 6, it was announced that Darkhan Satybaldy was appointed as the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Prior to this, Satybaldy served as the akim of Turkestan Region since August 2022. In December 2022, he was reappointed to this position.

Today, the head of state received the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, Darkhan Satybaldy. It was noted that the position of first deputy head of the Presidential Administration is being introduced to improve management processes and regional interaction, strengthen control over the implementation of decisions and directives at the local level, as well as enhance the quality of measures taken and strengthen citizens' trust in state institutions.
