Tokayev: The head of state is a hired government manager, not a "shadow of the Almighty."

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, granted an extensive interview to the newspaper "Ana Tili," in which he discussed the events of January and the state of governance in the country, as reported by NUR.KZ citing the Akorda website.
Токаев: Президент – это управленец, нанятый для госслужбы, а не "тень Бога".

Speaking about the events of January, the president emphasized that Kazakhstan was able to overcome this severe trial thanks to the unity of our people.

"Undoubtedly, January taught all of us many lessons. First , the power in the country must be consolidated, with no dual authority. Second , the head of state is a hired state manager for a specific term, not a 'shadow of the Almighty.' Third , there needs to be a careful selection of candidates for high state positions, including leaders of law enforcement agencies; they must be devoted to their homeland, the Republic of Kazakhstan.

And most importantly – we need to implement the principles of justice everywhere, safeguarding the unity of the people as the apple of our eye based on the concept of 'Law and Order.' Those who oppose this concept are advocating for anarchy in society in the name of 'democratic values,' essentially seeking to undermine Kazakh statehood. This cannot be tolerated. The highest degree of democracy is the triumph of the law. The path to this goal is a thorny one," emphasized Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
