“As part of the Concept for the Development of Rural Territories for 2023-2027, the project ‘Aul – El besigi’ (‘The Village – The Cradle of the Country’) is being implemented, aimed at enhancing infrastructure in rural areas. From 2019 to 2023, a total of 524 billion tenge was allocated from the national budget for this project, resulting in over 5,400 projects being carried out in 1,800 villages,” the government stated in response to a parliamentary inquiry.
According to officials, this initiative has led to the construction and renovation of 578 facilities in the housing and communal services sector, as well as more than 1,700 social infrastructure projects (586 in education, 409 in healthcare, and 741 in culture and sports), along with over 3,000 intra-village roads.
This year, the project has been allocated 179 billion tenge, with 1,400 projects being implemented across 500 rural communities.
