Astana's LRT construction: The Ministry of Transport confirmed the involvement of funds from the National Fund.

During the briefing, journalists inquired about the amount of money spent on the construction of the above-ground metro in Astana. They also noted that earlier, the Deputy Minister of National Economy stated that 52.4 billion tenge had been allocated from the National Fund for these purposes.

"Yes, additional funds have been allocated this year to complete the project, as you mentioned, 54 billion tenge. However, it would be better to direct the details to the akimat."

"I confirm the information stated by the Deputy Minister of National Economy regarding the funds attracted from the National Fund. This is part of the budget allocated for the construction of the LRT," - noted Marat Karabaev.

It is worth mentioning that last week, the akim of Astana announced that the LRT test trials would begin in September of this year.

In September of last year, it was reported that the construction of the LRT supports in Astana had been fully completed. A total of 799 supports were planned. In early December, the first 500 meters of rails on the experimental section of the LRT were laid in Astana.

Additionally, at the end of last year, construction of the LRT depot began in the capital - it will be located near the international airport.

Akim of Astana Zhenis Kasymbek also spoke with residents of the Nura district about the future construction of the LRT and when the project would be completed.
