“The companies ‘Talgariirrigation’, ‘Balhashirrigation’, ‘Kolsaiirrigation’, and ‘Ushkonirrigation’ were analyzed for inflating expenses related to water transportation, maintenance of water-distributing structures, and tax contributions, which resulted in an unjustified increase in the cost of irrigation water for end users,” officials from the regional prosecutor's office reported.
As part of the prosecutor's response, compensatory tariffs were implemented, leading to a 38% reduction in the cost per cubic meter of irrigation water. This measure has helped protect the rights of over 1,300 agricultural producers in the region, strengthening their positions amid rising costs.
The individuals responsible have been held accountable and faced disciplinary action.
